Nexar Beam4. It is our flagship and the camera we recommend to most drivers. On the road, Beam4 records 4K at 30 frames per second where Nexar One records 4K at 25, so fast-moving detail such as the plate on a passing car is easier to pull out of the footage. Inside the car the gap is wider still: Beam4 records the cabin at 1080p against 720p on Nexar One, more than twice the detail on the part of the footage that decides a passenger dispute. Both cabin cameras use infrared, and we rate Beam4 night-time video Excellent against Very good for Nexar One. It is also the easier camera to live with. The OBD power cable is in the box, so there is no hardwire kit to buy, a 256GB card is included, and parking protection reads your car battery directly so it can keep watching overnight without leaving you unable to start the car. It is smaller and lighter than Nexar One and rated to a higher temperature. Nexar One is still a capable 4K camera, and its cabin lens is wider at 160 degrees if that matters more to you.
